Earlier Topic Deadline

An earlier deadline for submitting conference topics by members, groups, any AA body in fact has been set.

This 2024 National Conference resolved that the 2025 Conference Steering Committee (CSC) review the planning schedule for dealing with Conference Topics and communicate the date and times for submitting Conference Topics so members and groups will have time to

• propose Conference Topics, and /or
• provide feedback on those Topics approved for discussion at the National Conference.

AA groups called for feedback

This means, when the approved Topics are published, AA groups will have the opportunity to discuss, make their recommendations and inform their Area Assembly of their deliberations through their Group’s Service Representative (GSR).

Then two Areas Assemblies each year are devoted to Conference Topics:

• One where Groups via their GSRs can present their topics and receive feedback and assist in proposing Topics to be presented by Districts and/or Areas.
• Two provide feedback on approved Topics for their Area Delegate to consider in preparation for making “informed” decisions with the other voting members of the Conference – Area Delegates, the Board Trustees and GSO representative etc.
